THE OLDEST SOCIAL MOVEMENT ARCHIVE IN FINLAND

Founded in 1909, the Finnish Labour Archives is the final archive of the social democratic labour movement, trade union movement under the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK), civic organisations and related private individuals. The archive's mission is to contribute safeguarding and ensuring the preservation of the national cultural heritage and promote its research. The archive collects, preserves and makes available for research documents and oral history surrounding these themes at both national and local levels.

The collection currently takes up approximately 11 shelf kilometres and is constantly growing. The collections are open to everyone for research use.
